IOS Developer – Banking / Financial Services Location London (City of London) Hybrid working available Applicants must live in or near London and have the right to work in the UK Contract Type Permanent or 12-month Fixed Term Contract About the Role An established private bank is modernising its digital and mobile banking platforms. They are looking for an experienced iOS Developer to join the team responsible for the bank’s customer mobile app. You will work across the full development lifecycle from planning and design to coding, testing and release. The role suits someone who enjoys building secure, high-quality, user-friendly apps within a regulated financial environment. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain the bank’s iOS application using Swift and SwiftUI • Translate UX and product requirements into clean, maintainable code • Collaborate with designers, product owners, QA and security teams • Implement automated testing and CI/CD pipelines • Optimise performance, reliability and security • Contribute ideas to improve delivery processes and customer experience Skills and Experience • 3+ years of commercial iOS development experience using Swift (Objective-C a plus) • Solid understanding of UIKit and SwiftUI • Good knowledge of mobile app security and performance optimisation • Experience with Git, CI/CD and testing frameworks such as XCTest • Comfortable working in Agile teams • Strong communication and problem-solving skills • Must be based in London and eligible to work in the UK Desirable • Experience in banking, fintech or other regulated sectors • Integrating with APIs or secure back-end systems • Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS or Firebase • Awareness of compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, ISO 27001 or GDPR What’s on Offer • Competitive salary and benefits • Hybrid working with regular London office time • Collaborative, supportive culture focused on quality and delivery • Opportunity to work on a visible, business-critical mobile product
