LEAD COST ESTIMATOR
DYCE, ABERDEEN
Are you an experienced Cost Estimator ready to take the lead on major engineering and construction projects?
We’re looking for a Lead Cost Estimator to drive estimating strategy, deliver competitive project estimates and support key commercial decisions across a growing engineering group.
The Role:
- Lead cost estimates across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
- Coordinate inputs from multidisciplinary teams and evaluate supplier/subcontractor quotations.
- Manage cost modelling, benchmarking, risk analysis and contingency planning.
- Develop estimating processes, databases and cost standards.
- Lead, mentor and develop estimating team members.
- Support tender submissions, project controls and commercial performance.
What We’re Looking For:
- Senior-level cost estimating experience, ideally across large-scale engineering and construction projects.
- Proven experience leading and developing a team.
- Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Cost Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong commercial awareness, analytical skills and attention to detail.
- RICS or AACE/CCP membership would be advantageous.
Location: Aberdeen (with travel to other group locations)
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week. Hybrid working available
