Hands-on maintenance experience?

We want to hear from you!

We're recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business in Milton Keynes.

This is an excellent opportunity to work Monday to Friday with no shift work, supporting modern production equipment within a stable and growing organisation.

Practical experience is just as important as formal qualifications for this role.

If you have strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills and experience maintaining machinery in a manufacturing or production environment, we'd love to hear from you. Relevant qualifications are beneficial, but hands-on experience is equally valued.

You'll play a key role in keeping production running efficiently through planned maintenance, fault finding and continuous improvement projects.

What You'll Be Doing

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across production equipment

Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults

Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime

Assisting with machinery upgrades, installations and modifications

Supporting continuous improvement activities to improve reliability and efficiency

Working closely with production teams to maximise machine performance

Managing critical spare parts and liaising with specialist contractors when required

Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures

What We're Looking For

Practical experience in a Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer, Maintenance Technician or similar role

Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability

Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment

Knowledge of 240V electrical systems

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Understanding of planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification would be beneficial, but relevant hands-on experience will also be considered

Desirable

Three-phase electrical experience

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
