Production Operative

We are currently recruiting Manufacturing Operatives on behalf of our client, a leading heavy manufacturing company based in Gateshead.

The Role

As a Manufacturing Operative,

you will play a key role in supporting production operations, ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards

Key Responsibilities

• Operating machinery and production equipment safely and effectively.
• Loading and unloading materials using appropriate handling methods.
• Assisting with heavy processing and manufacturing operations.
• Carrying out quality inspections and reporting any defects.
• Following production schedules and work instructions.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the production area.
• Adhering to all health and safety procedures and company policies.
• Recording production data and completing relevant documentation accurately.
• Working collaboratively with team members to achieve production targets.

Requirements

• Previous manufacturing, production, engineering, or industrial experience is desirable.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow instructions and work procedures accurately.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
• Flexible approach to shift work where required.
• Forklift, overhead crane, or machine operating experience would be advantageous, but is not essential as training may be provided.

Day Shift - Monday – Friday - 6am – 2pm

Back Shift – Monday – Fri - 2pm – 10pm

Night Shift - Monday – Friday – 10pm – 6am
